About the collection:
Sunnyvale 2007
I spent hours at a gallery in San Francisco and came away inspired by the work I saw there. Simple images, all shapes and shadows, that instilled feelings of intense serenity and peace as I contemplated them. I wondered if I could do anything that would evoke similar emotions.
After thinking about it for a few days, I left on my morning walk and received no inspiration. Hmm. Not that avenue for this. But when I returned home I was reading and looked up as the sun flooded in through the windows, from the cloudy sky outside. Soft lights ... and that caught my attention.
Only six photos came out of that moment's inspiration. I have them printed them all together in a row on a large sheet of paper and they hang over my desk now.
Sometimes that's all it takes.
